Rough Cut Feedback

This is the feedback we recieved from our class. There are some positive and some negative comments, and we intend to use both to our advantage.

1.) Camerawork, good variety of shots, possibly more angles could be used and we will try to resolve this by shooting more angled shots.
2.) Mise-en-scene, heart in background subtle but good.
3.) Editing too much to look at.
4.) Split screen is good, fresh and exciting.
5.) Shots are held for slightly too long. To resolve this we will make our cuts faster more dynamic.
6.) The duck looks at the camera.
7.) Fits the fast paced song.

We are happy with our feedback, and will take on board the constructive critisism.

Also, we watched other people music video rough cuts. These are some of the good ideas we obtained through watching everyone elses videos:

1.) Setting the pace of the editing with the song is important.
2.) Making sure lipsyncing is perfect is vital.
3.) Judging the length of different shots means you know how visible different objects in shot are.

Problems and Resolutions

as shown below in one of our post, it shows and says we where going to us The Carbon Footprints in our video. Unfortunately due to errors in communication we are now unable to get them to perform for use.

We did have a back up band, Disco Addicts but they also won't be able to perform in our video. Due to them having a very busy schedule.

But we have resolved the issue and we have edited our 1st idea and made some minor adjustments.

we will only have one performer in our video. He will act as all the band members, this will add a comical side to the video. Because of the split screen it will be easy to have him as different people in the video. We will do this by dressing him in different outfits and allow him to wear different facial accessories eg a small moustache!! glasses!! hat!! etc.

We have also got a few different locations we would like to include in our video. We have filmed in a small, 'green room' that was actually white with a blackboard. We used this to show our large heart in the background of a couple of the shots. We also filmed some brilliant close ups of the guitars etc.
